My mother in law said that I don’t need any medical attention as I was not bleeding. But it hurt! It hurt really badly! While our mothers participate daily in various livelihood training programmes, their children go to our school inside our project. Hailing from some of the poorest regions of Bangladesh, these young children have witnessed family trauma and pain and therefore are extremely vulnerable. We are blessed to have such kind and caring teachers who take extra care of our children.

Nine year old Fahad was suffering from poor vision, headaches as well as many other problems in his eyes. After Fahad and his mother arrived to live in the Sreepur Village and under the supervision of a clinic team, Fahad was able to receive treatment to cure his visual impairment.

This is the story of Rubi.
Rubi Begum, hails from Narsingdi district located in central Bangladesh. She lost her husband after 12 years of marriage together. Rubi's husband committed suicide in February 2020, he was suffering from family conflict, extra marital affair, financial problems and drug addiction, all of which led to his fatal suicide.

Ripa Begum hails from the northern part of Bangladesh. A mother of three, Ripa seeked shelter from The Sreepur Village, Bangladesh, in May, 2018 when river erosion completely washed away her house and all her belongings. Unfortunately, every year hundreds of families will lose their homes due to river erosion, especially in Northern Bangladesh where many of our mothers live.

Shefali is a mother of a 1-year-old baby girl and they both live together in The Sreepur Village. After Shefali got married, her husband went to live abroad so she had to live with her in-laws.
