This #CharityTuesday we would like to share a story of success and a great example of how Sreepur Village, Bangladesh continues to help transform lives with hope, education, independence and dignity.
Rubi's Story
This is the story of Rubi.
Rubi Begum, hails from Narsingdi district located in central Bangladesh. She lost her husband after 12 years of marriage together. Rubi's husband committed suicide in February 2020, he was suffering from family conflict, extra marital affair, financial problems and drug addiction, all of which led to his fatal suicide.
Small Charity Week
Ripa Begum hails from the northern part of Bangladesh. A mother of three, Ripa seeked shelter from The Sreepur Village, Bangladesh, in May, 2018 when river erosion completely washed away her house and all her belongings. Unfortunately, every year hundreds of families will lose their homes due to river erosion, especially in Northern Bangladesh where many of our mothers live.
