It was a bright and sunny day on the 12th of March when Sreepur Village hosted day one of the girls' cricket tournament.
HSBC Visit 2021
For ten years, HSBC has been supporting The Sreepur Village, focusing on their education programme.
In October 2020, HSBC generously donated BDT 2,444,840 which is approximately £21,000 which will fund a one year project.

International Day of the Girl Child
As today marks International Day of the Girl Child, The Sreepur Village would like to share with you the stories of four girls who came to The Sreepur Village charity as vulnerable, insecure, abandoned and abused children, and how through playing cricket, their future dreams could be made a reality.

The contribution of sport to education, human development, healthy lifestyles and a peaceful world is of utmost importance and here in The Sreepur Village, we commit ourselves to the development of our children through various sports and physical exercises.
In the Sreepur Village school, we provide a specialised sports instructor who teaches the children a variety of sports every day. Jesmin has a degree in Physical Education and has experience in children’s sports and physical exercise.

Empowering women and children so they feel confident and equal in society is key to every single girl child, and the story of Setu shows that with love, encouragement, support and education, dreams can come true.
