World Breast Feeding Week (Aug 1-7)
In 2018, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) issued a new 10 point guidance to further raise awareness on the benefits of early breastfeeding. According to research, breastfeeding babies for the first two years would annually save the lives of more than 8,20,000 children under the age five.
The Rohingya Crisis - Day Two
When we left yesterday the large mud field in front of the camp was virtually empty. Today it was packed as 20,000 more refugees had arrived overnight. The army personnel had worked well in-to-the night and a baby had been born in the very early hours, both mother and child had to be sent to Teknaf hospital.
