International Day of Persons with Disabilities

December 06, 2017

To mark the 26th International Day of Persons with Disabilities, The Sreepur Village rehabilitation team organised a day themed on the “Transformation towards a sustainable and resilient society for all”.

The event, led by our nine disabled young adults, was also attended by our school children, leader mothers, teachers and staff. At the assembly, a brief discussion was held where speakers highlighted the need for changing people’s mind-sets and for raising awareness for the well-being of persons with disabilities.

The day was a success because everyone was united in showing their support for the rights of people with disabilities.
