Victory Day 2017

December 20, 2017

Last Saturday, the nation celebrated the 47th Victory Day, paying homage to three million victims and freedom fighters of the Liberation War. The Sreepur Village, Bangladesh, also celebrated this memorable day and in the morning the National flag was proudly waiving high above the school building.

As part of the day's celebrations, the Sreepur Village’s cub scout team attended the National Victory Day programme that was being held at Sreepur Upazila (sub-district).

For the last two weeks, the cub scouts have been non-stop exercising, even at night they were seen running and jumping everywhere. Their efforts certainly paid off as out of 20 teams taking part, The Sreepur Village’s scout team won first prize for the ‘Parade Display’ and second prize for the ‘Athletics’.

In the afternoon a drawing competition was also held which ended with a prize giving ceremony.

All in all, this was a victorious day for many.
