Everyday on the grounds of the CMC (Child and Mother Care) our Baby-House's children have their lunch under the big water tank.
Prior to coming to The Sreepur Village, these mothers were not able to afford food to feed their babies so, everyday at lunchtime is a happy moment for both mother and child.
The Sreepur Village provides food for over 150 mothers and 400 children, which as you can imagine requires extra-large cooking pots. Inside these cooking pots we are able to produce three nutritious meals a day which not only feed very hungry mouths but also bring smiles to previously unhappy faces.
If you would like to donate a cooking pot then please visit: http://bit.ly/2n2psIc
The charity, Sreepur Village, is proud to mark 34 years of transforming the lives of single mothers and their children by hosting a lively celebration filled with activities and fun in their village grounds in Gazipur, Bangladesh.
A mother of two children Sheli sought shelter from Sreepur Village, Bangladesh, in May 2018 when her husband died in a road accident. Her husband was a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver. Sadly, road accidents in Bangladesh kill and permanently disable thousands of people each year.
North Eastern Bangladeshi residents build their houses at that height to prevent floods from washing away their homes. Nevertheless, this year floods in Sunamgonj district in Sylhet division wiped out lots of houses as well as many lives!
