The Sreepur Village Beauty Salon
We are delighted to share with you photos of The Sreepur Village's newly opened beauty Salon.
Trisha, our Chair of Trustees, travelled from the UK to unveil the new salon.
It was because of a generous donor that The Sreepur Village was able to fit out and set up this small beauty salon, located near the DBR factory, who are supporting us in this new venture, and close to Shatir Bazaar, one of the busiest market areas.
Being located in such a central area where more than 3000 women work means our mothers are able to have the opportunity to build proper management skills and customer relationships which, in turn, will empower them further when they go back to their respective communities.
The beauty therapist, Shuborna, has been receiving beauty training through The Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, a national governmental programme. Joining her, at the salon, are six mothers from The Sreepur Village who are on a 3- month rotational programme so that they can gain their livelihood training through The Sreepur Village beauty salon.
The Sreepur Village Beauty Salon is proud to be able to offer services such as haircuts, hair-colouring, pedicures, manicures and facials.
