Merseyside Embroiderers Guild Endeavour Exhibition (September 22-29)

September 24, 2018

This weekend, Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral opened its doors to showcase the Merseyside Embroiderers Guild Endeavour Exhibition.
Sabita and the embroidery team at The Sreepur Village produced a beautiful wall hanging for the exhibition. In 1981 aged 18 months and abandoned, Sabita was brought to The Sreepur Village by Ramna Police Station in Dhaka.

In 2010, Sabita was employed by The Sreepur Village as a member of staff. A member of the Merseyside Embroiderers guild, Sabita has, for many years, worked alongside Ruby, who is always delighted to display embroidery from The Sreepur Village.

The exhibition will last until Saturday September 29.

Your donations really do mean the world to our mothers and children, and it is with your support that more women like Sabita are able to receive the qualifications and learn the necessary skills that will enable them to lead a life of independence and security.
