With a large number of vulnerable street children in the Tongi Railway area we are currently undertaking phase 2 of our project to build a safe house for these abandoned children. Providing them with access to food, safe shelter, education, healthcare, rehabilitation and a chance to break the cycle of poverty to become independent and self sufficient in the future. These children are currently at risk of being trafficked, beaten, murdered, abused, kidnapped and lead into a life of drug abuse. They have nowhere to go, no one to turn to and no one to trust. We need to change this and we CAN change this!
Phase 1 - has already been completed in which we successfully purchased the plot of land required to build this centre for the children.
Phase 2 - requires further funding for us to build the foundations for a 6-storey building as well as to complete the first two levels of the building. This will enable us to welcome street children at risk into the centre as soon as possible.
Phase 3 and beyond - depending on how much money we have raised we would like to complete the building to enable us to help as many abandoned and vulnerable children as possible with separate living quarters for boys and girls.
