Projects requiring major sponsorship

There are a number of projects that need major investment and sponsorship, and we would love to hear from anyone who is interested in any of the following plans. We can provide an outline and budget for each of these on request.

• Capacity building of staff
• Developing better psychological/counselling servicers for abused women and children
• Expanding fostering
• Establishing an outreach team to travel to isolated parts of Bangladesh to assess the need and to inform people of our services
• Develop a better equipped physiotherapy and health facility
• Develop a local team to better monitor mothers and children discharged into the community. This should include a medical element to ensure that treatable illnesses are dealt with and vaccinations are given.
• Establish an income generating project in country (i.e. buy land for a building which could be rented).
• Improve staff accommodation to improve the recruitment and retention of staff. It is very hard to recruit able staff in a rural area.
• Carry out research into skills lacking in industry and the community so that we can completely update our vocational training- i.e. possibly train people to operate knitting machines.
