Khalas
Preparing food
The women are called khalas which means auntie. They sleep with the children and rise at 6 am to get the children up, washed, dressed and ready for breakfast. They eat with the children in the main dining room. There are lots of different jobs around the project and each khala trains and works in the different sections during their time with us
