Creating the cards

Our outreach programme in SVT trains women from the local community to decorate the cards. This is intricate work and requires great concentration as each tiny piece of wheat straw is cut and stuck by hand. The women are paid per card completed to the required standard. We now have over 50 women working for us as this works enables them to work from home and set their own hours around caring for their families.
