In 1991 Pat visited a handmade paper project in the nearby town of Mymensingh which used water hyacinths and waste jute as the raw materials. Beautiful paper and card was being made, and we decided that this would be an excellent trade to teach to the women and children, and we could sell the products. A generous donation from a UK donor enabled us to buy the machinery and set up production in one of our buildings.
