Fostering
Fostering, Sreepur Village
Since 2007 we have been paying local families to foster our older abandoned boys. This enables the children to experience being part of a family rather than just offering them institutional care. This has proved extremely successful – the boys are happy and achieving well in school, and the families are loving and appreciative of the extra income. Robin was trafficked to Dubai as a 4-year old and used as a camel jockey. He was frequently beaten and lived in the camel shed. He was brought to us when he was 11 and had been rescued by the Bangladesh National Women Lawyer’s Association who were unable to trace and reunite him with his family.
