Covered walkways connect all the buildings, offering shade from the midday sun and the monsoon rain. We are especially glad of these during the monsoon when it can rain heavily for days. During the rains you can imagine how hard it is to dry all the washing – clothes, bedding and towels for over 500 people take up a lot of washing line!
